Pursuing Multiple Projects with Christopher Rice

Bestselling author Christopher Rice knows how to pursue multiple projects at once. By working on each project in different physical spaces and balancing the time spent on each, he breaks up the monotony of sticking to one book, makes himself more productive, and increases his writing and time management skills exponentially. Christopher is well-known for writing A Density of Souls, his bestselling debut novel, and Ramses The Damned: The Passion of Cleopatra, which he co-wrote with mother and fellow bestseller Anne Rice. He also runs The Dinner Party Show podcast with award-winning novelist Eric Shaw Quinn. His latest publication, Blood Victory, is available now.

From Amazon.com:

A New York Times bestseller since his first publication at the age of twenty-two, Christopher Rice is the author of BONE MUSIC (an Amazon Charts bestseller and the first novel in the Burning Girl series) and its sequel, BLOOD ECHO, as well as the Bram Stoker finalists THE HEAVENS RISE and THE VINES. BLOOD VICTORY, his third Burning Girl novel releases in August 2020. He is an executive producer on the television adaptation of The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice, and he also collaborated with her on RAMSES THE DAMNED: THE PASSION OF CLEOPATRA, a sequel to her phenomenally popular novel THE MUMMY OR RAMSES THE DAMNED. Together with his best friend and producing partner, New York Times bestselling novelist, Eric Shaw Quinn, he runs the podcast and video network, TDPS, which you can find at www.TheDinnerPartyShow.com. Morning guys. Great interview today J. Generous offer by J. D although I hope nobody listens to your podcast or I fear he will be inundated. I love his positivity.
I enjoyed listening to Christopher (great name) especially the bits about tackling more than one project at a time as I also do this. I think it helps my creativity because it means my brain is being stretched and exercised more diversely than if I confined myself to one thing at a time.
When on AOT a couple of friends and myself went to visit one of Anne Rice’s houses in NOLA although she had moved to LA by then. We also saw the house (a couple of blocks away) where the Coven series of American Horror was filmed which was interesting as fans were turning up in costume to get photos.
Enjoy Thanksgiving and be safe. We don’t celebrate it over here, although I recall there is a community of folk who live in wigwams in North Wales. Maybe we were colonised by native Americans thousands of years before you were ‘discovered’ by the Vikings.
    Great show.

Can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this interview! I already hit the replay button to listen again during my workout. SO good for authors to hear that established authors like CR and JD still practice basic down-and-dirty unsexy hard-work writing habits. Thanks, J!

P.S. My work desk is a long Husky work table with a wood top I bought at Home Depot that adjusts up and down with a crank. Love it, and it was pretty reasonable at $200.

Thanks, Stephanie! Husky work table. That is SO much cooler than my desk 😉
